September 13th, 2019 by Jessica Protz

West Hartford, Conn. (September 13, 2019) - Environmental Systems Corporation (ESC), a leading provider of building technology solutions throughout Connecticut, is pleased to announce the promotions of Michael Mullin and Benjamin Denalsky.

Mullin has been promoted to chief operating officer. With over 32 years of business operations management experience, he will play an integral role in setting the long-term strategic direction of the company. Over the course of his eight year tenure at ESC, he has been directly involved in defining and implementing initiatives that improve efficiency, ensure financial stability and increase client and employee satisfaction. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of company operations, to include information technology, human resources, field operations and marketing. Prior to joining the firm, Mullin held various director-level positions with The Phoenix Companies, Inc., where he was responsible for teaching and applying the Lean management system throughout all lines of the business. He is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Sensei and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University.

“Mike has great vision for the business and an immense capacity to keep many things moving simultaneously. He has evolved into my “right hand man” and we have been co-running the company for some time now. The COO title better reflects the importance of his position at ESC and the authority he has to guide business operations – both on a day-to-day basis and in setting the long-term strategic direction of ESC,” describes ESC president Craig McCurdy.

Denalsky has been promoted to vice president of field operations. He brings 28 years of planning, design and construction experience to this role, gained through his prior involvement as partner in a residential/light commercial development company. He is responsible for ensuring that all ESC products and services are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and within budget. In addition to overseeing performance on all project and service contracts, he will participate in corporate strategic planning initiatives. Since joining the firm in 2014, Denalsky has been involved in both project supervision and field operations management capacities, where he focused on process optimization and cost avoidance. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in forestry/business administration from the University of Maine.

“Ben’s career at ESC has been marked by rapid advancement. He has consistently demonstrated strong planning and coordination skills, a keen eye for identifying opportunities to improve processes and the ability to implement those ideas,” states McCurdy.
