“Synergy gained in Security market as ESC and AES join forces”

West Hartford CT, April 30, 2018 - Representatives from Environmental Systems Corp. (ESC) and Associated Electronic Systems (AES) announced this week that the two companies have entered into an agreement under which ESC has acquired the business of AES.

ESC of West Hartford CT, already a leading force providing security, fire alarm, building automation, mechanical systems and implementing energy conservation solutions, sees tremendous opportunity in the combination of the businesses. ESC’s market focus includes commercial, industrial, educational, governmental and utility customers primarily in the New England states with some national accounts.

“We are thrilled to bring AES into the ESC family, both companies are built on the same values. We share a passion in fostering great client relationships as well as providing our employees a career they can be proud of.” said Craig McCurdy, President of ESC.

Before the transaction, AES was privately held company based in East Hartford CT.  Their market focus lies primarily in providing security and fire alarm systems to commercial and industrial customers with a concentration on governmental facilities.  With the high demand to implement advanced security measures in these facilities, the additional resources that ESC brings to bear comes at an ideal time for the AES client base.

“Merging into ESC allows for us to continuously provide our specialized services without a hitch as the demand for security work is increasing across the state.” says Ken Charles, owner of AES. “Our companies have served this marketplace for over 45 years in the areas of security, life safety and system integration.  The similarities are amazing.”

ESC has been privately owned and operated since 1972 and currently employs over 130 skilled professionals. ESC helps facility owners and managers enhance building performance by planning and integrating intelligent solutions to optimize comfort, security, life safety, energy efficiency and audio-visual technology.
