    ESC  is currently looking for a dynamic Sales Executive to help us grow our Security Solutions business in the Connecticut region.  The Sales Executive will be based out of our West Hartford, CT office and focus on end user sales in addition to pre-construction activities and developing business with Electrical Contractors, General Contractors, and Consulting Engineers.

     

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Under general supervision, manages and grows assigned territory or group of security solutions accounts
    • Achieves booking and gross margin goals.
    • Develops and implements plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers or territory.
    • Works on team sales with other Salespeople as appropriate. 
    • Effectively performs needs assessments, develops sales proposals, estimates, specifications and presentations.
    • Strategic Account Planning and Management
    • Coordinate cross-selling to existing ESC customers from our divisional business units.
    • Coordinate and present technical symposium’s to customers and end-users
    • Support sales promotion campaigns for customers

    Requirements:
    • 3-5 years of meeting and succeeding sales goals for full security solutions / fire alarm and integration products strongly preferred.
    • Extensive experience with CCTV, IP Video, Access Control Systems, Fire Alarm and Intrusion Systems 
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills to give presentations before a broad audience
    • Hunter sales mentality
    • Extensive training in security systems, fire alarm, electronics and system applications software preferred
    • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Answer incoming service calls and dispatch service technicians
    • Work with the Operations Team to plan and schedule service technicians
    • Monitor the daily activities of service technicians
    • Generate work orders and purchase orders for technicians
    • Back up other dispatchers as needed
    • Review technician documentation for completeness and quality
    • Perform administrative support for the Security/Fire and AV divisions.

    Responsibilities of this position include all aspects of electronic systems installation and service. Systems may include Audio Visual, Security, Fire Alarm, and related systems. Specifically: Coordinates, manages, implements and/or performs new systems and equipment installation, field service, or system repairs.

    Performs complex equipment installation; installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, panels, microphones, digital displays, cameras, card readers, electrified locks.  Creates connections to various sensors and low voltage electrically powered devices; validates connections to power source and/or terminates wiring, mounting of parts and testing connections.     This is a travel position 80% of the year. You will perform project startups, including instrument installation, calibrating and commissioning; control panel terminations, markups and testing; network terminations and testing; and instrumentation, and panel training.

    • Performs startup of project instrumentation, which may include installation, wiring, terminations.
    • Commissions control panels on the job site, which includes field signal wiring, panel wire terminations, input/output signal checkout, and field equipment interfacing.
    • Terminates plant network fiber and copper cables, and tests signal loss in each segment.
    • Marks up control panel drawings with additions, deletions, and modifications to reflect actual field equipment interfaces.
    • Preforms customer training on project instrumentation and control panels.
    • Preforms on-site troubleshooting assistance to Contractor, Electrician, and Owner, as necessary.
