Environmental Systems Co. installs EV Fast Chargers in the City of New Britain
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – November 19, 2024 –Environmental Systems Co. (ESC), a Fidelity company and leading provider of building technology solutions throughout the Northeast, is pleased to announce the installation of two new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in downtown New Britain, Connecticut. This installation brings convenient, fast-charging solutions to the heart of the community.
The two state-of-the-art Tritium DC Fast Chargers (DCFC), located on Main Street opposite the Busy Bean Café and the New Britain Police Station, are some of the few DCFC charging stations available in the Central Connecticut region. These chargers can fully power most electric vehicles in just 30-45 minutes at a rate of $0.45/kWh, providing EV drivers with a fast and affordable charging solution.
ESC helped the City of New Britain secure an EV charging infrastructure incentive from Eversource, significantly reducing the total cost of the project for the city.

As more people in Connecticut are driving electric vehicles, increasing the charging infrastructure across the state will also contribute to our broader goals of reducing carbon emissions and working towards a clean energy future.”
