Housatonic Valley Regional High School (HVRHS) Solar Installation Project Falls Village, Connecticut
October 6th, 2025
ESC – Environmental Systems Co., a Fidelity Company, has recently completed a major solar installation at Housatonic Valley Regional High School (HVRHS). The project includes two solar arrays with a combined capacity of more than 200 kW, designed to reduce the school’s reliance on traditional energy sources and drive long-term cost savings.
With the project complete, and all panels installed on the North and South Systems, full commissioning is expected shortly. Once operational, the system is projected to generate more than 330,000 kWh of clean energy in its first year alone, helping the school lock in predictable energy costs and achieve meaningful long-term savings. Over the next 20 years, HVRHS is expected to save approximately $218,000.
This solar initiative builds on a long-standing partnership between ESC and HVRHS. In recent years, ESC has upgraded the school’s HVAC, mechanical, and lighting systems, improving efficiency and reducing operating costs. Together, these improvements have strengthened the school’s commitment to sustainability while ensuring a comfortable, high-performing learning environment.
“HVRHS has had the pleasure of working with ESC for many years. Everyone at ESC is very courteous and professional, and with ESC, I don’t just feel like a customer—I feel like a part of the ESC family.” – Jeffrey Lloyd, Facilities Engineer.
ESC is proud to support HVRHS in its mission to provide students with an outstanding education in a facility that reflects its values of innovation, sustainability, and community.
